Mahindra recently announced a ramp up in production and deliveries, which has led to a reduction in the order backlog. And while the duo of the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N have the highest number of open bookings at over 1 lakh units combined as of January 2024, their waiting periods have come down a fair bit from a couple of months ago.
Mahindra Scorpio N waiting period
As you can see in the table below, the maximum waiting period for the Scorpio N is up to six months for the lower variants, while it's about four months on average for the mid-spec variants. That’s considerably down from six to eight months waiting that the mid-spec variants were seeing in November 2023. But it’s the top-spec variants that see the maximum drop in waiting period – it’s now just two or three months on average, down from a maximum of eight months in November 2023.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic waiting period

At its recent earnings call, Mahindra revealed that the duo of Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N are among its most popular models, receiving about 16,000 bookings per month combined, more than even the XUV700 and Thar.
