- Gets diamond-cut alloy wheels
- Launch in coming months
The latest test mule appears to be the range-topping version of the upcoming Thar Armada. The prototype is equipped with new 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while previous spy shots revealed there will be three different wheel options on offer. Another shot reveals its 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will be borrowed from the new XUV 3XO.
We already know that the new Thar will be equipped with a new grille, redesigned bumpers, a rear wiper and a remote fuel-filling cap over the Thar 3-door. It will also get LED lights all around, a fully digital instrument cluster, push button start-stop, front and rear centre armrests, a sunroof and rear AC vents, among other creature comforts.
Mahindra Thar Armada: expected powertrains
The Thar Armada is expected to borrow the Scorpio N’s 175hp, 2.2-litre diesel and 203hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol powertrains considering the added weight over the 3-door version. The lifestyle SUV will be available with both 4WD and 2WD options.
Mahindra Thar Armada: launch timeline, expected pricing
The Thar Armada will be Mahindra’s next big launch in India after the XUV 3XO. It will arrive in the second half of this year, and will likely carry a slightly higher price point compared to the Scorpio N, which means it could be priced from around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
