Maruti has announced the inclusion of the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) as standard equipment on the Alto K10 and S-Presso models. These were the last Maruti Suzuki offerings in India that lacked ESP. This safety feature is now standard across all variants, and prices remain unchanged.

The Alto K10 is priced from Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level variant and tops out at Rs 5,96 lakh for the top-spec AMT. The SPresso, on the other hand, starts at Rs 4.26 lakh and goes up to Rs 6.12 lakh.

Apart from ESP, standard safety equipment on both models include dual front airbags, ABS brakes and a collapsible steering column.

Both models sit at the lower end of the vast Maruti Suzuki car and SUV line-up and are sold via its Arena outlets. While the Alto K10 currently has no direct rivals, the SPresso sees competition from the Renault Kwid in our market.
