Maruti will be launching the top-end trim of the Ciaz in early 2015. The Z+ trim will get a touchscreen infotainment system over all the features and fitments that the Z(O) trim gets.
Adding to the long list of mid-size sedans in Indian markets, Maruti launched the Ciaz a while back. It is available with petrol or diesel engines, and four trims namely, V, V+, Z and Z (O).
What is currently the top trim, the Z(O) gets 16-inch alloys, instead of the standard 15-inchers on the Z trim, and full leather upholstery instead of the part-fabric part-leather upholstery on the Z.
When the Z+ trim launches in 2015, the only addition will be the touchscreen infotainment system. This will give it a slight edge over its closest rival the Honda City, which comes with an audio system with a 5-inch display unit on the top trims sans the touchscreen.
The Maruti Ciaz Z+ is expected to priced at a premium of Rs 30,000 over the Z(O), at approximately Rs 10.1 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
