Maruti Suzuki car, SUV prices hiked by up to Rs 11,693

Maruti Suzuki cited rising input costs for the increase in prices of its Arena and Nexa models.

Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of its entire product portfolio effective from April 18, 2022. It’s Arena models – the Alto, Wagon R, S-Presso, Celerio, Swift, Dzire, Vitara Brezza, Eeco and Ertiga – as well as Nexa models like the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6 and S-Cross will see a price jump of 1.3 percent.

Maruti Suzuki model-wise price hike

Like other brands, Maruti Suzuki has also attributed the increase in price to rising input costs. Two models from Maruti Suzuki’s Arena line-up have the least price hike – the Alto and S-Presso, coming in at Rs 5,304 and Rs 5,193, respectively. On the other hand, the Vitara Brezza sees the highest hike at Rs 10,192. Take a look at the table below for the Maruti Suzuki Arena models prices.

Coming to Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa line of premium dealerships, the Ignis gets the least hike at Rs 6,955, while the Ciaz midsize sedan tops the list with a jump of Rs 11,693. Here’s how much more each Nexa model will cost.

Maruti Suzuki: upcoming launches

The automaker will launch the facelift of the XL6 on April 21 to rival other premium MPVs, such as the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo and the lower variants of the Innova Crysta. The automaker is also working on introducing the Brezza SUV facelift and is collaborating with Toyota to introduce a Creta-rivalling midsize SUV.
