Maruti Suzuki has introduced a special-edition Dzire in the market. Based on the lower-spec LXi/LDi trims, it is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Dzire special edition gets front power windows, wheel covers and rear parking sensors as standard. Additionally, it also gets a Bluetooth-enabled, two-speaker music system and remote central locking as part of the special-edition package.
Standard equipment on the LXi/LDi trims includes ABS and dual front airbags, along with brake assist. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire takes on the likes of the Tata Tigor, new Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and the Volkswagen Ameo. With the special-edition variant based on the base-spec Dzire, Maruti aims to push sales of lower trims of the car, with added equipment, in order to attract buyers looking for an affordable compact sedan.
Prices for the Dzire special edition petrol start at Rs 5.56 lakh, while the diesel variant costs a lakh more. At this price, the model is roughly Rs 30,000 pricier than the standard Dzire LXi and LDi models.
Maruti has also commenced bookings for the updated Ciaz at its Nexa dealerships. Prices for the new Ciaz will be revealed on August 20, 2018.
