Mercedes-Benz extends warranty, service plans till June 30

Warranties and service plans that were due to expire between April 15 and May 31 will now be valid till June 30.

Mercedes-Benz India has announced the extension of its warranty and service plans to aid customers. The German luxury brand has become the latest manufacturer, following Audi, TataMaruti SuzukiToyota and Renault, to provide relief to their customers amidst the second wave of the COVID-19 induced pandemic.

Mercedes-Benz’s standard warranty and service plans, which were due to expire between April 15 and May 31, will now be valid till June 30. Furthermore, customers can now report any insurance claims till June 30, and even renew their insurance policy by calling a Mercedes-Benz dealership and receiving the policy over email. 

The company is also extending the period to purchase extended warranty, if the customer’s standard warranty of 3 years has expired between April 15 and May 31. Additionally, Mercedes has acquired special permission from authorities to provide road side assistance to customers. 

Mercedes has also launched the ‘DSDNxt’ service programme, which will enable customers to book an online service for their car, track their car in real-time during pick and drop, see real-time service status, download service documents, and pay service bills online.

Speaking about the initiative, Martin Schwenk, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “In the current challenging situation, it remains our endeavour to assure our customers of complete peace of mind when it comes to their vehicles. Through these specially crafted service initiatives, along with our service teams’ ongoing support working remotely, our customers will continue to enjoy a hassle-free vehicle ownership.”

In India, Mercedes-Benz recently introduced the A-Class Limousine and the updated E-Class, and will soon launch the second-gen GLA in the market. Mercedes-Benz India will launch the Maybach S 580 Maybach in India, after it launches the new S-Class later this year.
