Mercedes Benz India will announce pricing for the updated GLC SUV on December 3, 2019. The refreshed GLC made its global debut earlier this year at the 2019 Geneva motor show. The model was spotted being road-tested in India recently.
As part of its mid-cycle update, the GLC gets a revised headlamp and tail-lamp design, a new grille, and design tweaks on its front and rear bumpers. It also gets new inserts for the tail-lamps with a design similar to the next-gen GLE and GLS models – both of which are yet to come to India. On the inside, the large 10.25-inch touchscreen is the big change, replete with the latest version of Mercedes’ high-tech MBUX system. The new MBUX with ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice command and a large central touchpad will be introduced for the first time on the GLC range.
It will also get a full-digital instrument cluster and a few other tweaks. The refreshed GLC will come with the same BS6-compliant, 2.0-litre diesel motor already on offer on the C-class and the E-class sedans. Additionally, there will be BS6-ready petrol engine available too. The refreshed GLC will rival the likes of the Land Rover Discovery Sport, the BMW X3 and the Volvo XC60 in our market.
Additionally, Mercedes will also launch the next-gen GLE SUV in the Indian market early next year, most likely in the January-February period.
