Mercedes-Benz India has announced pricing for the refreshed GLC today. The SUV is now priced from Rs 52.75 lakh for the petrol-powered GLC 200 while the GLC 220d 4Matic diesel costs Rs 57.75 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
The GLC facelift, as part of its mid-cycle refresh, gets a revised headlamp and tail-lamp design, a new look for the grille and styling tweaks to its front and rear bumpers, all of which bring it more in-line with the newer Mercedes-Benz SUVs, like the latest-gen GLE (coming to India early next year) and the new GLS SUV that is yet to arrive in India.
On the inside, the big update for the GLC facelift is the addition of the large, 10.25-inch touchscreen that comes with the latest version of Mercedes’ MBUX infotainment system. The new MBUX gets ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice command interface and a large central touchpad that is seen for the first time on the GLC range. Additionally, the GLC facelift also gets updated textures to name another change in the cabin.
Under the hood, the GLC facelift gets the latest BS6-compliant engine options that are already on offer on the C-class and the E-class sedans in India. The GLC 200 petrol comes with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine good for 197hp and 320Nm of torque while the GLC 220d diesel gets a 2.0-litre unit that delivers 194hp and 400Nm of torque.
Key rivals to the GLC include the likes of the Land Rover Discovery Sport, the BMW X3 and the Volvo XC60 in our market.
