With the MG Hector petrol already upgraded for BS6 emission standards, it was only a matter of time before BS6 diesel versions of the SUV rolled out too. The BS6-compliant Hector diesel is priced from Rs 13.88 lakh for the entry-level Style variant and goes up to Rs 17.73 lakh for the fully loaded Sharp trim. This means that prices are up in the region of Rs 40,000-45,000 across all variants.
The variant-wise pricing of the BS6 Hector diesel is as follows:
MG Hector diesel prices (ex-showroom, India) | |||
---|---|---|---|

The 2.0-litre Fiat-sourced diesel engine continues to develop an identical 170hp and 350Nm of torque, with a 6-speed manual remaining the sole gearbox option available.
Equipment on offer remains unchanged, with the entry-level Style coming kitted out with basics such as projector headlamps, steel wheels, a height-adjustable driver seat, air conditioning with vents for the second row, a reclineable rear backrest, an audio system and remote locking. The range-topping Sharp variant packs in more tech, such as powered front seats, auto climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate and the company’s iSmart connected-car technology.
Over the coming months, MG will also launch the three-row version of the SUV, called the Hector Plus. The MG Hector Plus will come powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine but is expected to boast added features.
