The new Audi A4 scored a five-star rating in the latest round of crash tests held by Euro NCAP. The Audi sedan scored a rating of 90 percent in adult-occupant protection, 87 percent in child-occupant protection and 75 percent for pedestrian safety and assistance systems.
Two Hondas – the HR-V and the Jazz – also scored a rating of five stars in the latest round of testing.
According to Euro NCAP, the Jazz was only the second hatchback in the segment this year to achieve a five-star rating.
In the MPV segment, the Volkswagen Caddy scored four out of five stars with Euro NCAP commenting that the MPV offered some technology that was unusual for the segment, such as Autonomous Emergency Braking which is available as an option.
Testers noted that while the Caddy scored well in areas covered by its assistance systems, it lost points as it didn't offer lane assistance.
