The New York motor show will start from April 16. Big new car reveals from the likes of BMW, Kia and Land Rover are expected to take centre stage, while new models like the Mercedes S63 AMG coupé should get plenty of attention.
Look through the list below to find out which cars will be making headlines in New York.
BMW M4 Convertible
Following the M3 sedan and M4 coupé shown in Detroit in January, BMW will show off the new M4 convertible in New York. It's the third in this new generation of M-Division models to use turbocharged power, in this case sharing its 3.0-litre straight six engine with the M3 and M4. Power is rated at 425bhp, with 56.13kgm of torque.
BMW X4
Due to go on sale internationally in July, the new BMW X4 is the latest addition to the carmaker's SUV range. With engines taken from the X3, and styling borrowed from the larger X6, the new X4 is pitched against rivals including the Porsche Macan and Range Rover Evoque.
Kia Sedona
The all-new Kia Sedona looks set to continue Kia's trend of giving its models more distinctive styling. The new mid-size MPV will go on sale in select global markets next year. Able to carry eight passengers and their luggage, Kia says the new car has been designed for "adventure seekers".
Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept
Land Rover will preview its new Discovery family of cars, which are due to launch next year, with the Discovery Vision Concept in New York. We already know the design language established on the Discovery 3 and 4 has been abandoned, with the new model taking on a more luxurious look inside and out. The first model due to be released as part of the new family is the replacement for the current Freelander.
Mazda MX-5
Persistent rumours suggest Mazda will at least partially reveal the new MX-5 in New York. Sources suggest a stripped-down chassis of the sporty new two-seater will appear on Mazda's show stand. The new MX-5 is due to go on sale next year, featuring new, more muscular styling and a range of 1.5 and 2.0-litre SkyActiv petrol engines.
Mercedes S63 AMG coupe
This hot version of the recently unveiled Mercedes S-class coupé is slated to go on sale towards the end of the year. The plush four-seater gets its power from AMG's twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 engine, with 577bhp and 91.66kgm. The car also comes with Mercedes' new Magic Body Control system, as well as a new system which allows the car to lean into corners.
Nissan Murano
The third-generation Murano, Nissan says, is a "halo vehicle" for the brand, and that it "previews a new design language for future Nissan production vehicles". Features such as the Murano's new headlights take inspiration from the Resonance concept of 2013 (pictured).
Subaru Outback
A single preview image of the new Outback has been released prior to its unveiling in New York. We already know its design will be heavily influenced by the new Legacy, which made its debut earlier this year. Reports suggest the Outback will also borrow the Legacy's range of engines.
