- World debut expected to take place sometime next year
Next-gen Ford Endeavour (Everest): what the spy pictures reveal
The spy shots give us a clear hint that the new Endeavour will be more of an evolution than a revolution, as far as its dimensions and overall looks go. It will be a bit more squarish and bolder in looks, and will have styling cues from the newer Ford SUVs and pickup-trucks, like the recently updated F150.
Next-gen Ford Endeavour (Everest): platform and powertrain details
The new SUV will be based on a slightly updated ladder frame architecture that will first be seen on the next-gen Ford Ranger. The same platform is also expected to be used by Volkswagen for their next-gen Amarok pickup, which will be sold in some international markets.
Apart from the chassis, the new Endeavour will also share engine options and a few body panels from the yet-to-be-unveiled next-gen Ford Ranger. The new Ranger will adapt styling similar to the F150, including the C-shaped daytime running lights and a squarish front look. The four-wheel-drive system and drivetrain will be shared as well.
Next-gen Ford Endeavour (Everest): expected launch timeline
The new Ford Everest will most likely see a world premiere in 2022, and the model, just like the outgoing version, is initially expected to go on sale in Australia and ASEAN markets. As far as India goes, expect the new model to come here a little later. Apart from the new Endeavour, Ford is also readying an all-new C-SUV for India, as well as a major update to the current-gen EcoSport.
