The next-gen Hyundai Venue has been spotted for the first time in South Korea. This compact SUV will make its global debut sometime next year and has been internally codenamed QU2i, Autocar India can confirm.

  1. New Hyundai Venue will be built at Talegaon plant
  2. Will get all-new design, more tech and features.
  3. Production to start by late 2025

New Hyundai Venue: what do the spy shots reveal?

While not much is known about the new Venue’s platform, the spy shots confirm that the top hat will be completely new. Hyundai is likely to retain the boxy look of the current Venue, while incorporating design elements similar to its newer or freshly updated models, such as the Creta and Alcazar. The new Venue will get a split headlamp setup that looks similar to the ones on the currrent Creta. The bumper looks taller, and the grille looks wider with new rectangular design elements. Also, parking sensors and a module for the ADAS suite are visible at the front, which could be standard on higher variants.

The side profile isn’t clearly visible in these spy shots, but we can expect a wheelbase similar to the current Venue. Overall length will continue to be under 4 meters due to regulations providing additional benefits for vehicles of this size. Although not much can be seen at the rear, Hyundai seems to have retained an upright tailgate with new horizontal tail-lamps and new LED detailing that will likely be connected via a light bar.

Inside, it will have a completely redesigned dashboard, with many components likely to be shared with other Hyundai models, such as the screens, the steering wheel, seats, and some switchgear. Hyundai is also likely to keep the game up with advanced ADAS technology, better quality materials, bigger screens, and additional comfort features. One could expect a panoramic sunroof on offer as well.

New Hyundai Venue: powertrain, launch timeline

We don’t anticipate major changes to the powertrains; the 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines are expected to continue until new emission norms come into effect sometime in 2027.

The prototype seen in these spy shots is likely made at Hyundai's Chennai plant for internal testing and calibration purposes. As we reported earlier, the new Venue will be among the first models to be mass-produced at the brand's new Talegaon plant in Maharashtra, with series production set to begin by late 2025. Hyundai plans to bring another all-new SUV that will sit above the Alcazar, also produced at the Talegon plant. Read more on that here.
