Suzuki has teased the next-generation Swift ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show, which will be held between October 26 and November 5. In the image released by Suzuki, the new Swift can be seen sporting a blue and black dual-tone exterior with some updated design cues. Whilst the Japanese automaker officially calls it the 'Swift Concept', it looks production-ready. The next-generation Swift is expected to launch sometime in 2024.

2024 Suzuki Swift: what's new?
The next generation Swift features a familiar overall design language, but with some major updates to the details. Whilst the current-gen Swift features a curvaceous design, the new Swift boasts sportier cues with a sharp character line running through the length of the exterior. The bonnet sees a major update as well, with the character line blending into it. Suzuki have also refreshed the front end with an updated grille design and a silver finish for the front chin. The Suzuki logo housed in the front grille on the current Swift is now positioned above the grille.
At the rear, Suzuki have updated the bumper with a sportier design. The character line from the sides continues to run above the revised tail lamps. Besides this, the next generation Swift also gets a refreshed alloy wheel design.
2024 Suzuki Swift interiors
Inside, the 2024 Swift features a similar dashboard design as the Fronx and the Brezza with a black and grey colour scheme. The new Swift also boasts switchgear featured in the Fronx and the Brezza such as the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the steering wheel and the toggle switches for the HVAC controls.
2024 Suzuki Swift powertrain
While Suzuki hasn't revealed any information on the engine or the transmission options that will be offered with the new Swift, it has said the car will feature a "high-efficiency engine that will strike a balance between driving performance and fuel efficiency".
The current-gen Swift for the Indian market features a single 1.2-litre, four-cylinder engine generating 90hp and 113Nm of torque offered with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. The India-spec Swift is also offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit.
2024 Suzuki Swift safety tech
On the safety front, Suzuki revealed that the 2024 Swift will feature enhanced safety tech like Dual Sensor Brake Support, collision-mitigating braking, an Adaptive High Beam System and a Driver Monitoring System. Besides this, no other information has been shared about the safety tech.
2024 Suzuki Swift launch in India
Slated for its official debut at the Tokyo Motor Show, we expect the next-gen Swift to be launched in India sometime next year. Rivalling the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and the Tata Tiago, the Swift has been a popular choice for customers in India ever since its launch in 2005.
