Nissan Magnite facelift: what’s new?
As per the teasers revealed so far, the Magnite facelift will get a slightly reworked grille, new alloy wheels, and restyled LED tail-lamps on the outside. The bumpers are also expected to be redesigned. Inside, the car will get a new dual-tone tan and black theme as opposed to the all-black layout of the outgoing model. The black and silver finish on the steering wheel has made way for a full black unit.
The overall dashboard design will remain unchanged; however, the Magnite facelift is expected to get more features, such as ambient lighting on the dashboard and door pads. The seat upholstery is also new and now features the same dual-tone tan and black colour scheme.
Nissan Magnite facelift: powertrain, specs
The Magnite facelift is not expected to get any mechanical upgrades. The existing 72hp, 96Nm, 1.0-litre NA petrol and 100hp, 160Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine options will be carried over. The former gets a 5-speed MT and an optional 5-speed AMT, while the latter gets a 5-speed manual along with a CVT auto option.
The pre-facelift Magnite starts at Rs 6 lakh, and this makes it one of the most affordable compact SUVs in India. The facelifted version is expected to carry a minimal price hike in order to retain its position at the lower end of the segment. It will rival the Renault Kiger, Maruti Fronx, and Toyota Taigor, along with slightly pricier options like the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue.
