In a bid to adhere to the VW Group’s India 2.0 plans, Skoda Auto India has introduced a new six-year warranty package across its range of cars in the country. Models like the Rapid, Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq can now be had with the Skoda Shield Plus pack that extends warranty to six years (or 1.5 lakh km, whichever is earlier) over the standard four-year pack.
Besides extended warranty, the Skoda Shield Plus includes 24x7 roadside assistance and motor insurance (one-year comprehensive and three years third-party). This package is available to all Skoda customers including those who own vehicles that are covered by the four-year warranty programme.
The roadside assistance package assists customers whose cars suffer mechanical or electrical failure, battery issues, a flat tyre, fuel exhaustion, lost keys, breakdowns and accidents.
The Czech brand has recently reintroduced the Rapid Monte Carlo edition in our market and is working on bringing the India-spec version of the Skoda Vision X concept SUV to our market. The new SUV, which sits below the Karoq in Skoda’s range, has been revealed for international markets with the Kamiq nameplate.
