In just a week since its launch (June 28), the Skoda Kushaq has received over 2,000 bookings, according to our sources. The 1.0 TSI AT Ambition is proving to be the most popular variant, garnering around 40 percent of total 1.0 TSI orders. Keen pricing and good value is drawing customers to the 1.0 TSI according to dealers who are quite happy with the response.
The ‘Carbon-Steel’ colour is the most preferred by buyers, followed by white and orange. According to some dealers, all versions have received adequate interest, including the 1.5 TSI, whose test drives are yet to begin. As reported by us earlier, deliveries for the Kushaq 1.5 TSI will start a little later. Most dealers say that around 25 percent of orders are for the larger engine and they expect this share to increase once test drives begin.
Skoda dealers are also giving customers a system generated ETA as soon as the booking is confirmed, with deliveries set to begin by the middle of this month.
How the Skoda ETA system works
Once the customer selects his powertrain, variant and colour by either visiting the dealer or the Skoda website, an estimated delivery date for the next available unit in that configuration is reflected on the system and conveyed to the customer.
The estimate delivery date is derived from various stages, including stocks with dealers, vehicles in transit, the current order backlog and production plans that span the following 12 weeks.
