Suzuki has patented the Suzuki eWX’s design in India. The upcoming electric hatch was first showcased in concept form at the Tokyo Motor Show 2023.

Suzuki eWX: styling, dimensions
The eWX concept is only 3.4 metres long, which means that it adheres to the existing Kei car restrictions in Japan. The overall boxy, tallboy design seems to be inspired by the Wagon R, but as far as dimensions go, the eWX concept is even smaller than the S-Presso sold in India.
The patented car still appears to be in concept form, with no headlamps and a curved windshield that extends beyond the A-pillars. The B-pillars appear to be missing. The car has body cladding all around and fully covered wheel caps.
Suzuki eWX: launch details
Maruti is yet to reveal any details about the eWX’s India launch; however, we had reported that an eWX-based hatchback will be added to Maruti’s portfolio sometime in 2026-27. This Tiago EV and MG Comet EV-rivalling hatchback will be built on the heavily localised K-EV platform.
The company is also working on the eVX mid-size electric SUV, which will be its first EV offering in the country and directly rival the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV. The production of the eVX SUV has been pushed to February 2025 from the earlier target of September 2024.
