- Besides the Altroz, Tata’s range is available with significant benefits this month
- Benefits up to Rs 80,000 on the Harrier, up to Rs 50,000 on the Tigor, up to Rs 35,000 on the Tiago and up to Rs 10,000 on the Nexon
Tata Motors has authorised its dealerships to offer a number of discounts and benefits on nearly all Tata cars during the month of July. Except for the Altroz, all other cars in Tata’s range are all more attractive buys thanks to the offers available this month including cash discounts, exchange bonuses, corporate discounts and special discounts for health workers and COVID warriors. Here’s how much you could potentially save on your new Tata car.
Tata Harrier
Benefits up to Rs 80,000
At the beginning of the year, Tata updated its Harrier SUV with a BS6-compliant 170hp diesel engine (up by 30hp from the BS4 model), added a new 6-speed automatic gearbox option, more equipment (like a panoramic sunroof) and gave it minor design tweaks (such as the new 17-inch alloys). The Tata Harrier is an MG Hector-rivalling model that feels rugged and boasts excellent ride quality. Benefits totalling Rs 80,000 can be availed during this month.
Tata Tigor
Benefits up to Rs 50,000
Tata’s compact sedan was also the recipient of a few design changes earlier this year, along with a BS6-compliant, 86hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine. The previously offered 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT auto gearbox options continue. It may be a bit smaller than rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze, but the Tata Tigor is also more affordable and great value for money. It’s an even more attractive buy thanks to the Rs 50,000 worth of benefits available this month.
Tata Tiago
Benefits up to Rs 35,000
Like its compact sedan sibling, the Tiago is a great value for money product. It may be more expensive than other models in its class - like the Hyundai Santro, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and Datsun Go - but nearly everything about it feels like it’s from a class above. The gruff 1.2-litre petrol engine and the gearbox options on the Tata Tiago are shared with the Tigor. All the benefits available on Tata’s smallest model right now amount to a maximum of Rs 35,000.
Tata Nexon
Benefits up to Rs 10,000
Along with cosmetic tweaks and updates to the features list, the Nexon also got a more powerful 120hp BS6 petrol engine; the diesel continues to have the same output as the BS4 version. Like all Tata cars, ride quality is a major highlight, as is its sturdy nature. Higher variants are expensive by class standards but also come with a lot of kit, while lower versions make for great value products. There are no cash discounts and exchange bonuses available with the Nexon this month. Benefits of up to Rs 10,000 can be availed through corporate discounts, Tata Group’s referral scheme, and by COVID warriors.
