Tata Motors held the first edition of its extreme off-roading event for its customers – the Full Throttle Trail – in Chandigarh.
The event, which took place on a purpose-built track, saw over 35 participants take part in the off-roading activities. On the track were 4x4 and 4x2 versions of the Safari, Xenon, Sumo and Aria. The trail required participants to conquer various hurdles like slush beds, uphill and downhill sequence, rutted courses and sand beds. The trail was spread over two different locations near Mullanpur and it posed exciting challenges to the participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Anand Totla, regional manager - Tata Motors, said, “We are delighted to host the first edition of the Tata Motors Full Throttle Trail, and are overwhelmed with the response and participation received from our customers. Through off-roading events like this, customers not only have the opportunity to go off-roading but also experience the tough and enduring nature of Tata Motors SUVs.”
Through this initiative, Tata has planned a total of 21 trails over the span of the next few months. Off-road enthusiasts will get an opportunity to not only experience the capabilities of their SUVs, but also get introduced to some serious off-road driving techniques.
Tata Motors Full Throttle Trail recently launched another event under the Full Throttle banner - the Full Throttle Experience. This is an off-roading expedition spanning a number of days, with the first expedition being flagged off from New Delhi on June 22, 2012.
