‘Key to Safety’ initiative means to incentivise buyers with various finance schemes
Additional benefits up to Rs 45,000 available for ‘COVID-19 frontline warriors’
Up to Rs 40,000 off on the Tigor, 30,000 off on the Harrier, 25,000 off on the Tiago
Tata Motors has rolled out a new ‘Key to Safety’ scheme that is meant to incentivise buyers. This scheme includes initiatives such as long-tenure (up to eight years) loans, 100 percent on-road price financing, easy EMI payments and refinancing options.
In addition, to thank and support the COVID-19 frontline warriors (doctors, health-care professionals and police), Tata Motors has also announced special offers worth around Rs 45,000 on its entire line-up, barring the Altroz. This includes the Tata Nexon facelift, Harrier, Tiago and Tigor. The offer can be availed through the manufacturer’s ‘Click to Drive’ digital sales platform or via select dealerships that have opened following the relaxation of lockdown restrictions in some states.
For other buyers, Tata Motors has officially directed dealerships in green and orange zones to offer benefits and discounts on the Harrier SUV, Tiago hatchback and Tigor compact sedan. These offers can also be availed via the brand’s recently launched online sales platform.
Tata Tigor
Save up to Rs 40,000
Available in the BS6 era with an 86hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine and manual and AMT gearbox options, the Tigor has also recently been given a nip and tuck, design-wise. It’s still quite a looker and attracts buyers due to its value-for-money proposition. The Tata Tigor also punches above its weight class as its rivals – the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura and Ford Aspire – are based on hatchbacks that are in a segment above the one the Tigor is based on. In May 2020, Tata dealers have been authorised to offer benefits and discounts up to Rs 40,000 on the compact sedan, including an exchange bonus and a cash discount.
Tata Harrier
Save up to Rs 30,000
Like the rest of Tata’s line-up, the Harrier was also recently updated to meet the new emission norms. With the BS6 update, the Tata Harrier also got a more powerful 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine, a 6-speed automatic transmission option, minor design tweaks and a lot more kit, especially on the higher-spec variants. This month, all variants of the SUV – which rivals the MG Hector, Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta in our market – are on offer with total benefits worth Rs 30,000, including an exchange bonus.
Tata Tiago
Save up to Rs 25,000
Tata’s stylish hatchback was also updated recently .It shares its mechanicals with the Tigor; it has the same BS6-compliant, 86hp petrol engine and 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Like its compact sedan counterpart, the Tata Tiago also received a 4-star safety rating from Global NCAP. Tata’s answer to the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and Hyundai Santro is available with cash discounts and exchange offers worth 25,000 this month. The carmaker is also offering customised EMI plans starting at just Rs 5,000 per month for six months via the ‘Keys to Safety’ scheme. This EMI amount (for a loan amount up to Rs 5 lakh), gradually increases over a maximum tenure of five years.
