Prices for the Tata Punch EV have been announed – the all-electric SUV and Citroen eC3 rival is priced between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 14.49 lakh. The first Tata EV to be based on the brand’s Acti.ev platform, the Punch EV gets two battery packs – 25kWh and 35kWh. The former has a claimed range of 315km, while the larger unit has an MIDC range of 421km.
Bookings for the Punch EV had opened on January 5, for an amount of Rs 21,000. The Punch EV is offered in five variants – Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+. Interestingly, the Punch EV's trims use a similar nomenclature as the Nexon EV, and these names are expected to be used on all future Tata electric vehicles.

Tata Punch EV rivals
At this price point, the Punch EV will directly contend with the Citroen eC3, and it does seem to be far better equipped than its French rival. Interestingly, prices also overlap to a degree with the Tata Tigor EV (Rs 12.49-13.49 lakh).
