Ahead of the global debut in Indonesia of the upcoming Innova Zenix (Innova Hycross in India) on November 21, Toyota has released a teaser confirming a first-for-Innova panoramic sunroof. The India unveiling of the Hycross is scheduled for November 25.

- Will come with two powertrain options
Toyota Innova Hycross: What all has Toyota confirmed?
This is the first time a panoramic sunroof will be seen on the MPV. The teaser also reveals that the Hycross will come with dedicated AC vents for the second and the third rows, and will also have ambient lighting, at least on the higher variants.
Toyota has also confirmed a hybrid powertrain for the new Innova. As we've reported earlier, the new Innova Hycross (and Zenix) is expected to come with 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0-litre petrol hybrid options.
The Innova Hycross' exterior has been seen previously in a teaser released by Toyota as well as leaked images, and the design seems like an evolution of its predecessor. Toyota has made the new Innova look more SUV-like thanks to its upright nose and familiar design cues that include a V-shaped bonnet and a wide, trapezoidal grille with chrome surrounds on the lower part, flanked by high-mounted headlamps that actually look inspired by the Toyota Corolla Cross SUV.
The front bumper gets foglamp housings and air dams in a single unit. It features strong shoulder lines and a clear MPV-like silhouette that is unmistakably Innova. In terms of dimensions, the Innova Hycross will measure 4.7m in length and will have a wheelbase of 2,850mm, which is slightly larger than the Innova Crysta.
New Toyota Innova Hycross: what else is known
The new Innova Hycross’ interior was also partially seen in a set of spy shots that surfaced recently. The Innova Hycross will feature a multi-layered dashboard, and certain elements like the centre console, the steering wheel and the instrument cluster seem like they have been borrowed from the latest-gen Voxy MPV that is sold in some international markets.
The MPV will also have a large touchscreen infotainment system and a separate panel for climate control options, likely equipped with touch-sensitive HVAC controls. In terms of equipment, Toyota is likely to load the Innova Hycross with goodies like a 360-degree camera, wireless charging and an ‘ottoman function’ for the second-row captain's chairs, among other bits.
Toyota Innova Hycross: India launch in January
As mentioned above, the new Innova Hycross will debut in India on November 25, and Toyota is expected to announce the prices at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023, which starts on January 11. The Hycross is expected to be sold alongside the existing Innova Crysta, which is currently available only with the 166hp, 2.7-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.
Moreover, we will also see a Maruti Suzuki derivative of the Hycross that will be sold via the Nexa dealership chain.
