Toyota has halted bookings for the range-topping ZX and ZX (O) variants of its Innova Hycross again, after reopening them just last month.
- Innova Hycross ZX, ZX (O) bookings halted for the second time
- Other variants currently have a 14-month waiting period
Keeping the high demand in mind, Toyota has stopped taking bookings for the ZX and ZX (O) variants, priced at Rs 30.34 lakh and Rs 30.98 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The bookings were first halted last April due to supply related issues, and resumed one year later; the top-spec variants have always been in high demand.
As of May 2024, the Innova Hycross hybrid is available in VX and VX (O) variants, and even these two have a waiting period that's up to 14 months. The non-hybrid petrol variants currently have a waiting period of six months. The Hycross' waiting period is higher than even the flagship Vellfire MPV's 12 months.

The 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain puts out 184hp, and is mated to an e-CVT gearbox, while the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine makes 173hp and 209Nm torque mated to a CVT.
The MPV also recently received a new non-hybrid ‘GX (O) variant’, priced at Rs 20.99 lakh. The Innova Hycross directly rivals its badge-engineered cousin, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto, and other seven-seater SUVs like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
