Toyota is offering discounts and benefits on the Glanza hatchback and the Yaris sedan for the month of June. With these offers, Toyota hopes to encourage customers to purchase cars in these unprecedented times.
What is the offer available on the Toyota Glanza?
The Toyota Glanza is being offered with discounts and benefits worth up to Rs 47,500. The break-up of the offers reveals that customers can get a cash discount of Rs 15,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. Also, COVID-19 frontline worker, such as doctors, military or police personnel, and healthcare teams, can further avail an additional Rs 17,500 discount.
Toyota’s Glanza hatchback comes equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine good for 83hp and 113Nm of torque. The engine can be had with either a 5-Speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox. The same petrol engine is also offered with a hybrid system that bumps power to 90hp. Some of its competitors include the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz.
What is the offer available on the Toyota Yaris?
Toyota’s Yaris is being offered with discounts and benefits amounting to Rs 72,500. Customers can get a cash discount of Rs 20,000 as well as a Rs 20,000 exchange bonus. Like with the Glanza, Toyota offers an additional Rs 32,500 discount on the Yaris for COVID-19 frontline workers.
The Yaris competes in the midsize sedan segment and rivals the Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, Hyundai Verna and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. In terms of powertrain, the Yaris comes with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 107hp and 140Nm of torque. The Yaris can be had with either a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox.
Apart from these offers, the carmaker is also working towards launching the new Urban Cruiser compact SUV, which is based on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Toyota hopes to introduce the new model in our market by August this year.
