Maruti Suzuki’s more premium offerings have made significantly contributions towards the brand’s overall retail figures, though there is still room for improvement in an industry that is going through difficulties. In order to continue the sales push, Nexa dealerships across India are offering big benefits and discounts on nearly all of Maruti’s premium line-up – the Baleno, Ciaz, Ignis and S-Cross. Here’s how much you could potentially save in the month of November on your new premium Maruti car:

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

Save up to Rs 1 lakh
First launched in 2014, the Ciaz has been around in its current avatar for quite some time now. However, a mild makeover introduced last year helped spruce things up and ensure that the Ciaz consistently beats the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and the Toyota Yaris on the monthly sales charts. Smart, sensible and spacious – the Ciaz has a lot going for it.

The Suzuki is available in 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol, 95hp, 1.5-litre diesel and 90hp, 1.3-litre diesel engine options, with the petrol and smaller-capacity diesel boasting of mild-hybrid tech. While a manual transmission is standard, buyers do get the choice of an automatic on the petrol powertrain. Dealers are offering up to Rs 70,000 off on the base Sigma and Delta trims of the petrol-manual combo, with the top two variants getting a lesser Rs 60,000 off. The automatics can be had with similar benefits of Rs 60,000.

In an attempt to clear stocks before they are discontinued in the coming months, the diesels are available with some handsome deals. The 1.5-litre unit gets up to Rs 70,000 off, while the smaller 1.3-litre motor can be had with total benefits amounting up to a whopping Rs 1 lakh. Additionally, diesel customers can claim a free five-year extended warranty or avail of equivalent savings.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross

Save up to Rs 95,000
Essentially a crossover, the S-Cross competes with the likes of the Renault Captur, Nissan Kicks and Hyundai Creta in terms of price and size. Though a decent offering, it doesn’t provide the butch, upright stance and high seating position that SUV buyers in India have come to love. For the time being, the Maruti crossover only gets a single engine-gearbox combination in the form of a 90hp, 1.3-litre diesel engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and mild-hybrid tech. Prospective customers can save up to Rs 95,000 on the base Sigma and Delta trims, or Rs 85,000 on the top-spec Zeta and Alpha variants. This does not include the free five-year extended warranty which can be claimed over and above these deals.

With diesels set to face the axe, Maruti is working towards introducing a 1.5-litre petrol engine in the S-Cross in the coming months.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis

Save up to Rs 60,000
The Ignis is Maruti’s funky take on the hatchback segment; although its bold styling can be polarising. Available with only an 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT-auto gearbox, the Ignis feels light on its feet and peppy to drive. Those looking for their next car to have a bit of a strong flavour can find a good deal in the Ignis, especially with the Rs 60,000 worth of overall benefits available this month.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Save up to Rs 55,000
Spacious, comfortable and feature-rich, the Baleno is the champion of the premium hatchback segment – a class that includes the likes of the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and now, the Toyota Glanza. However, with the ongoing sales slump, the Baleno has felt the pinch. Hoping to better sales, Maruti is extending cash and corporate discounts, along with exchange bonuses, together amounting to benefits of up to Rs 40,000 on the hatchback's BS6 petrol trims and Rs 55,000 on the older BS4 petrol models. Diesel variants are being offered with up to Rs 50,000 worth in savings, plus the added advantage of a five-year extended warranty plan. Notably, the souped-up Baleno RS can be had with discounts as high as Rs 75,000 in total.

The BS6 petrol Baleno gets a 1.2-litre engine in either the run-of-the-mill, 83hp guise or a mild-hybrid variant that puts out 90hp. The diesel is a 75hp, 1.3-litre unit which is slated to be discontinued. The sportier RS gets a 102hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard fitment across the range, however a CVT-auto gearbox is also offered with the non-hybrid petrol version.
