In order to post better results before the end of the financial year, Honda dealers are offering benefits on a number of the brand's cars this month. More expensive models such as the Honda BR-V and City are now available with significant discounts and benefits, while smaller cars like the Honda Amaze, Brio and Jazz and WR-V get more attractive thanks to free accessories and free first-year insurance.
Honda BR-V
Save up to Rs 1 lakh
The BR-V is Honda’s practical people carrier. Available with the option of an energetic 119hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine and a frugal 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel motor (there’s a CVT automatic option for the petrol too), the Honda BR-V feels smaller from behind the wheel, making it easier to drive in traffic. Dealers are now offering benefits worth Rs 1 lakh on the MPV, which includes one year of free insurance, an exchange bonus and a number of accessories.
Honda City
Save up to Rs 75,000
The City midsize sedan is Honda’s answer to the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna. Dealers are now offering benefits of up to Rs 75,000 on the petrol and diesel Honda City. As it shares its powertrain with the BR-V, the City, being lighter than the MPV, is even quicker and handles quite well.
Honda Jazz
Save up to Rs 60,000
A rival to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and the upcoming Tata Altroz, the Jazz is powered by a 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel motor. While it may be priced higher than its rivals, the Honda Jazz can seat five quite comfortably in its spacious cabin. Buyers can avail benefits worth Rs 60,000 on the premium hatchback all through the month of March.
Honda Brio
Save up to Rs 55,000
Honda has halted production of the Brio and, in an attempt to clear stock, dealers are offering the entry-level model with benefits of up to Rs 55,000. The hatchback, which sees competition from the Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Suzuki Swift, is powered by a peppy 88hp, 1.2-litre motor that comes with manual and automatic options, which makes it an excellent urban runabout. Haggle a bit and you could get more than just the promised exchange bonus and one-year free insurance on the Honda Brio.
Honda WR-V
Save up to Rs 50,000
Honda’s beefed-up cross-hatch, the Jazz-based WR-V carries forward a lot of the pros and cons of its hatchback sibling. While the cars share the 90hp petrol and 100hp diesel engines, the Honda WR-V does not get the option of an automatic transmission. Nonetheless, higher-spec variants get a well-equipped cabin. Potential customers can now get benefits worth Rs 50,000 on the WR-V.
Honda Amaze
Save up to Rs 35,000
The second-gen Honda Amaze does improve on its predecessor on almost every metric. It is better to look at, there are more features and, for the first time, there’s a diesel-automatic option. A rival to the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire and Hyundai Xcent, the Amaze is more spacious than you’d expect and is a smart choice for the chauffeur-driven. Honda dealerships are now offering a year’s worth of free insurance on the compact sedan.
