The automobile industry in India has slowed down during the last month, prompting dealers to push sales by offering a number of promotional discounts and benefits. Maruti Suzuki’s premium Nexa dealerships are now offering deals on all models sold through these outlets, which should make them better value for money. Here’s how much you can save on your new Maruti Baleno, S-Cross, Ignis and Ciaz, during the month of June.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross

Save up to Rs 70,000
Maruti’s answer to the Hyundai Creta, the S-Cross’ crossover-like looks may not appeal to the Indian buyer (who prefers its SUVs to look a bit more rugged) but it still manages to make its presence felt on the sales charts. For now, there’s a single Fiat-sourced 90hp, 1.3-litre diesel engine on offer that is paired with a 5-speed manual. This motor will soon be replaced by Maruti’s in-house-developed 95hp, 1.5-litre DDiS 225 diesel engine and 6-speed manual combination. The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is also likely to get a petrol mild-hybrid option (finally) in the form of the new 105hp, 1.5-litre K15 Smart Hybrid motor that does duty in the Ciaz and Ertiga. Dealers are hoping to clear stocks of the 1.3-litre S-Cross before the new models arrive, by providing discounts and benefits of up to Rs 70,000.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

Save up to Rs 65,000
A rival to the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and the Toyota Yaris, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is now available with benefits of up to Rs 65,000, depending on the variant and engine-gearbox combination. While the largest offers are available on the Ciaz 1.5 petrol-MT, the Ciaz 1.5 petrol-AT, the Ciaz 1.3 diesel-MT and Ciaz 1.5 diesel-MT all have varying discounts from Rs 50,000-60,000. For now, the Ciaz line-up is expected to be unchanged. However, both diesel engines are likely to be discontinued before the BS6 emission norms compliancy deadline of April 1, 2020.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis

Save up to Rs 55,000
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a funky, high-riding hatchback that sees competition from the likes of the Mahindra KUV100 NXT. Unlike most Maruti hatchbacks, sales of the Ignis have not been stellar. During this month, Nexa dealers are offering benefits of up to Rs 55,000 on the hatchback, which is available with the familiar 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine, and 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Save up to Rs 40,000
In a bid to clear stocks of the older BS4 Balenos, buyers can now avail benefits worth Rs 40,000 on the premium hatchback; BS6 versions (specifically, the 83hp, 1.2-litre engine and not the 90hp, 1.2-litre mild-hybrid) have a lower Rs 25,000 discount. Interestingly, there are also benefits worth 25,000 that can be availed on the pre-facelift and current Baleno RS, which are powered by the 102hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Maruti dealers are also offering up to Rs 25,000 off on the pre-facelift and the current Baleno diesel, which come with the ubiquitous 1.3-litre diesel engine in a lower 75hp state of tune. Seeing as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has a new rival in the form of the Toyota Glanza and traditionally goes head-to-head with the Honda Jazz and Hyundai i20, these discounts should help the premium hatchback maintain its position on the monthly sales charts.
