VinFast VF e34 spy shots: design, features
The test mule has been spotted sans camouflage, and the VF e34 will share its styling with the foreign-spec version. Its tail-lamps shape is similar to the Maruti Ertiga, however, they have an additional lighting element that extends from both ends to the middle of the tailgate.
On the sides, the VF e34 gets plastic body cladding and chrome window garnish. The wing mirror reveals it gets a 360-degree camera as well as a blind spot warning function, which will be a part of the ADAS suite. Furthermore, it will get split LED headlamps along with an enclosed grille.
While the interior isn’t visible in the spy shots, it will get a vertically stacked 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display, among other creature comforts.
VinFast VF e34: specs, launch timeline
The VF e34 is powered by a 41.9kWh battery pack that powers a front-mounted 150hp, 242Nm electric motor, and has an NEDC-certified range of 318.6km. With a fast charger, the VF e34’s battery can be charged from 10-70 percent in 27 mins.
The VF e34 will rival the upcoming Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV and the Maruti eVX. VinFast plans to localise the SUV later, but the battery will likely be imported from Indonesia once localisation starts. VinFast will also launch the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400-rivalling VF 5.
The carmaker commenced its India plant construction in February this year, which will help it make products for the domestic market and for exports.
