Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg has launched the Agera in India priced at Rs 12.5 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Its main competitor is the Bugatti Veyron hypercar which his priced at around Rs 16 crore.
The mid-engine 4.7-litre aluminum V8 with twin-turbo superchargers develops a colossal 910bhp and a max torque of 112kgm at 5100rpm. Impressive acceleration figures of 3.1 seconds to the 100kph mark, 200kph in 8.9sec and an estimated top speed of 390kph sends this 1290kg beast bang into Veyron territory!
The company has developed a new kind of interior illumination called ‘ghost light’ that uses invisible nano tubes to increase the visibility of the instrument cluster. Only 16-20 cars will be built every year.
