Honda will debut the Elevate midsize SUV in India on June 6. Touted as one of Honda’s most important product for India, the Elevate will be Honda’s contender in the hotly contested midsize SUV market that has a product from almost every mainstream brand in India. Honda has been rigorously testing the Elevate in India and Japan, with fresh spy shots from Japan giving us a better glimpse at Honda’s upcoming SUV.

Honda Elevate: what the new spy shots show
The second set of spy shots of the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV from Japan were shared on Twitter recently. The SUV in these pictures seems to be wearing a thinner layer of camo, thus showing the Elevate’s upright design, which, according to sources, has been finalised keeping Indian buyers in mind.
The high set bonnet with a flattish nose and bonnet seems to mimic the first official teaser shown by Honda a few months ago. The roof line seems to be much flatter than seen before and tapers just a bit at the rear, neatly merging with the integrated roof spoiler and the mildly slanting rear glass area. The tail-lamp design is also clearly visible in these spy shots, and they look quite similar to the ones on the latest-gen WR-V that’s now on sale in markets like Indonesia, among others.
The tail-lamps have an angular outline on the top and the corners, which double up as LED light guides, a design feature seen in other Honda models lately. The reverse lamps, brake lights and indicators will likely have a halogen set up.
The alloy wheel design is also clearly visible and it resembles the ones seen on the City. Higher variants of the Elevate will likely get gloss black finish on the alloy wheels, while the lower variants could come with standard silver looks. The spy shots also confirm the presence of ADAS and a 360-degree camera set up, which can be seen on one of the wing mirrors.
Honda Elevate powertrain options
The Elevate will only come with the City's 1.5-litre petrol engine at launch, which is good for 121hp and 145Nm. Gearbox choices will include a six speed manual or a CVT automatic. The Elevate will most likely get a strong hybrid powertrain too, but at a later date.
Honda Elevate launch timeline, deliveries
Deliveries for the Honda Elevate are being promised sometime by late August, while the price announcement is expected to take place early that month, according to dealer sources.

By the time it's launched it will be obsolete...Looks like Honda is telling India to take it or leave it...If this fails chances are Honda may leave India like Chevy, Ford etc...

It's not looking proper SUV like Creata or Seltos. I think it will be another flop for Honda in India.
