While the Tata Safari Storme is not a new car, the one at the Tata Motors stall in the Autocar Performance Show 2014 has been turning heads and raising eyebrows. And that's down to its get-up, as you can see in the photos.

This Storme has been wrapped in striking yellow and black vinyl, the contrasting colours drawing attention on the crowded show floor. Look closer, and there are some other details which add to the overall look of the SUV. Up front, there's a spoiler made of transparent plastic and a faux turbocharger intake. The bumper has a guard rail mounted on it, which has a set of two additional fog lights to illuminate the road ahead. The bumper also has two sets of daytime-running LED lights on the sides. On the roof, mounted between the two roof-rails is yet another set of fog lamps.

The windows get rain shields, and black vinyl wrapped handles. Look to the back of the car, and you'll notice a towing hook installed, which has been made of toughened steel. Another eye-catching upgrade on the SUV is the use of 17-inch black wheels with 265/70R17 off-road tyres mounted on them.

On the inside, the black leather seats with orange stitching look really upmarket. The beige steering wheel has also been wrapped in leather, and a Garmin GPS navigation unit sits on the dash next to the steering wheel. A Blaupunkt subwoofer installed in the back takes care of in-car entertainment.

There are no upgrades under the hood and the kit is purely a cosmetic one. The entire kit is available at dealerships for Rs 3-3.5 lakh. However, if you want to upgrade only the tyres and wheels or simply get the car wrapped in vinyl, you have the option to pick and choose from the kit.
