Volkswagen has added the Polo AllStar to its India-spec Polo line-up. The carmaker had earlier revealed details of this model on its website, and as per our earlier report, VW was gearing up to introduce the model in our market during the festive season. The carmaker has priced the Polo AllStar petrol at Rs 7.51 lakh and the Polo Allstar diesel at Rs 9.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This means, the Polo AllStar costs Rs 30,000 more than its standard top-spec counterpart.

The extra cash gets you get minor cosmetic changes and equipment previously not offered on the standard Polo. Changes to the exterior include a new design for the 15-inch alloy wheels, a new Blue Silk paint shade that is currently available on the Ameo, and 'AllStar' badging on the car’s B-pillars.

Inside, the car gets the addition of rear air-con vents, a front centre armrest with storage, metallic-finished pedals and AllStar-badged scuff plates. The seats get new fabric upholstery with a contrast-coloured stripe running down the centre, and contrast stitching.

The Polo AllStar is available with the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel from the standard Polo. This special edition, however, will not be sold in the more powerful GT series. While the Polo Allstar is also just a cosmetic update over the standard car, at just a premium of Rs 30,000, the additions to its feature list make it worth checking out.
