The Getaway is powered by the Scorpio’s CRDe motor, which is effectively a generation old. Still, it feels fairly responsive off the line, thanks to its short gearing and flat torque curve. This is particularly useful for load-carrying duties or when tackling mountain tracks. It feels peppy and responsive enough for town use, but we wished it had a little more power and maybe an extra gear ratio for the highway.
The Getaway takes 7.06sec to reach 0-60, while 0-100 comes in 18.12sec. It has a top speed of 120kph which is achieved in 26.88sec. The in-gear acceleration from 20-80 in thrid gear takes 15.01sec, while 40-100 in fourth gear takes 19.03sec. That said, it’s pretty refined and very tractable. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Getaway returned 9.1kpl in the city and 11.4kpl on the highway.
