Mercedes-Benz India records 21 percent sales growth in Q3 2024

    The luxury carmaker registered its highest ever sales of 5,117 units in this period.

    Mercedes-Benz India recorded a sale of 5,117 units in the third quarter of this year, registering a 21 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth. This is the highest Q3 sales that the company has achieved in the country in its history.

    1. Mercedes records 13 percent growth in YTD sales
    2. GLA, GLC, GLE, GLS drive growth

    Mercedes also recorded its best-ever year-to-date (YTD) sales of 14,379 units between January and September this year, registering a 13% YoY growth. The company revealed that the YTD growth was driven by its SUV products such as GLA, GLC, GLE and GLS. S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach S 580 are also said to have witnessed a strong demand. 

    Furthermore, the carmaker registered an 84 percent YoY growth in EV sales between January and September, with a 6 percent penetration of its total sales. The company sold over 800 electric vehicles in India in this period - the highest for any luxury carmaker. Mercedes EVs recorded a massive 140 percent growth in Q3 ‘24.

    Mercedes-Benz new launches in India

    The company has now launched the new E-Class in India, making it the 12th launch from the brand in the country this year. However, the company is still planning to launch two more products this year, including all-new AMG GT and the G 580 with EQ Technology (all-electric G-Class).
