Buy Now!If the monsoon deluge hasn’t been enough, it’s also raining new cars this month. Porsche has finally brought its hotly anticipated second SUV, the Macan, to India and we’re the first to test it on Indian roads. That’s followed by the Fiat Punto Evo, Volkswagen Polo facelift, Tata Zest, Honda Mobilio and so many more. You won’t want to put this one down.
Porsche Macan – Porsche seems to have found a striking mix of sportscar and SUV DNA. The Macan claims to deliver sportscar-like driving pleasure going in the body shell of a high-riding SUV, even more so than its big brother, the Cayenne, and so we put its claims to test.
Next-gen Hyundai i20 – The world may not have seen it yet, but we’ve managed to bag the first photos of the next-gen i20. Read all about this upcoming hatchback and the tech it packs inside its ‘Fluidic’ shell.
Tata Zest – Tata kicked-off the compact sedan segment with the Indigo CS, but has subsequently fallen behind competitors from Maruti, Honda and Hyundai. Now, it wants to win back that very segment, and the confidence of Indian buyers with the Zest. We’ve put it up against the Amaze, Dzire and Xcent to see if it can.
Audi A3 diesel – Last issue, we told you just how brilliant Audi’s entry-level car is. But that was the petrol version. Now, we take the diesel variant of the first-of-its-kind A3 out for a spin, to see whether the oil-burner impresses just as much as its gasoline counterpart.
Volkswagen Polo facelift – The Polo has always been a very capable contender in the hatchback segment, but it’s small, three-cylinder diesel engine let it down. The facelifted car gets cosmetic updates, and more importantly, a brand new 89bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine.
Fiat Punto Evo – A very attractive hatch, the Punto has always had its share of fans. With the facelift, Fiat has delivered another stunning design and, this time around, a much better interior as well.
Mercedes CLA 45 AMG – Although it’s the smallest car from Merc’s performance wing, the CLA 45 AMG looks aggressive and goes like a wild animal out on a hunt. But how does the rest of it stack up, and is this four-cylinder car a real AMG?
Honda Mobilio vs Maruti Ertiga – There are big expectations from Honda’s player for the MPV segment. We put it up against its closest rival, the Maruti Ertiga to see if it can pass muster in the family-carrier sub-section of the MPV market.
Ferrari 458 Speciale vs McLaren 650S – These days the term ‘supercar’ is quickly becoming redundant, as sportscars get better and better. Case in point are these two – harder, faster versions of two of the finest sportscars on sale today, head to head.
Suzuki V-Strom – A bike that offers big performance and can also handle tough terrain should be perfect for Indian conditions. Does the V Strom feel at home?
