    TVS emerged as the big winner at Round 1 of the 2024 MRF MMSC Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC), held at the Madras International Circuit on June 14-15, 2024. The manufacturer swept both the premier Pro-Stock 301-400cc and Pro-Stock 165cc classes.

    This year's season opener saw several double wins with Sarthak Chavan, Abdul Basim RS, Rakshitha Dave, and Kaushik Subbiah Ganesan each winning both races in their respective categories.

    Pro-Stock 301-400cc

    17-year-old Chavan turned his pole position into a dominant victory in Race 1, which was shortened to four laps due to a red flag stoppage caused by a crash. He followed this up with another win the next day, while his TVS Racing teammate Chiranth Vishwanath secured second place in both races.

    Pro-Stock 165cc

    In the Pro-Stock 165cc class, Chavan faced setbacks suffering crashes in both races. And with him out of the race, reigning champion KY Ahamed narrowly edged out his mentor Jagan Kumar for victory in Race 1. However, Kumar bounced back to clinch Race 2, marking his first victory after a challenging 2023 season.

    KY Ahamed’s younger brother, Abdul Basim RS, dominated the Novice Stock 165cc class with a clean sweep. And Abhinav G secured podium finishes in both races, claiming third place in each.

    The number of races in the Girl Stock 165cc class has doubled this season, with each round now featuring two races. 15-year-old Rakshitha Dave secured a pair of commanding wins, defeating Jagathishree Kumaresan and former champion Ryhana Bee.

    In the TVS One-Make Championship, Senthilkumar C had a successful weekend with wins in both races of the Open (Apache RR 310) category. Harshith V Bogar achieved double wins in the Rookie (Apache RTR 200) category, and Sarah Khan won the Girls (Apache RTR 200) race.

    The round also saw the return of TVS' Electric RTE category. Chavan claimed a comfortable victory in this race, defeating Vishwanath and Alwyn Sundar.

    Rakshith Dave secured his maiden NSF 250R win by defeating experienced racer Mohsin Paramban (who also competes in the Asia Road Racing Championship) in Race 1.

    In Race 2, Shyam Sundar fought his way from P4 on the grid to claim victory.
