Star ratings will be given for Adult Occupant (AOP) and Child Occupant (COP)

Will follow global safety test protocols
1-5 stars rating – 1 being the lowest
Will assess pedestrian safety, structural safety, provision of active and passive safety features

Bharat NCAP vehicle qualification

Which vehicles qualify?

All vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tonnes
Carrying up to eight passengers + driver
Imported vehicles to also be encouraged
CNG and EVs also be tested
