Driving the 2024 Mahindra XUV700 has been a pleasant surprise. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine offers plenty of punch, with 197bhp that makes merging onto highways and overtaking a breeze. It feels quick, responsive, and smooth, both in city traffic and on longer drives. The ride is well-balanced, providing both comfort and performance, which is ideal for daily use. Inside, the XUV700 feels premium. The captain's chairs in the top variants are incredibly comfortable and perfect for long drives. The cabin is filled with modern tech like the large touchscreen and over-the-air updates. I also appreciate the added safety features, including ADAS, which make me feel more confident behind the wheel. While the performance is great for everyday use, the lack of an all-wheel-drive option in some variants might be a downside for those looking for true off-road capability.
