Q: I currently own a Bajaj Discover 125 and I use it to travel to work everyday. I’m now considering moving up the displacement ladder and the new Bajaj Pulsar P150 has caught my attention. I like its sporty design and the specs are decent. Do you think it would make for an ideal step up?

Autocar India says: The Bajaj Pulsar P150 is a brand new bike and we haven’t ridden it yet. That said, by the looks of it, the new Pulsar P150 does make a case for itself if you are keen on sticking within the Bajaj ecosystem. Going by the specifications, the P150’s power and torque figures are similar to its competitors in the segment. It also weighs significantly lighter than the old Pulsar 150, at 140kg. The P150 also has the skinniest rear tyre in the segment, which should help when it comes to fuel consumption, an important factor to consider when choosing a bike for daily commutes.

However, if you’re looking for the most powerful and feature laden motorcycle in the segment, the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V is a bike worth taking a look at.
