Wait for the Mahindra Thar Roxx or buy a Scorpio N?

If three-row seating isn't a preference, waiting for the Thar Roxx makes sense.

Mahindra Thar Roxx vs Scorpio N

I had booked a Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 4x4 diesel automatic in April this year. The dealer has informed me that a vehicle has arrived at their stockyard, and I need to make the balance payment soon to secure it. Otherwise, they will allot it to someone else, and I will have to join the queue again. Having seen the teaser images of the new Thar Roxx, I'm in a dilemma about whether to wait for the Thar Roxx or take delivery of the Scorpio N.

Autocar India says: The new Thar Roxx certainly looks promising. From the teaser images, its higher variants are likely to be well-equipped with features like a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster, and more — many of which the Scorpio N lacks. The Thar Roxx is likely to get bright 'ivory' coloured interiors, while the Scorpio N gets a brown colour scheme. Although both cars are likely to share their diesel powertrain, tough underpinnings, and 4x4 hardware, these SUVs are very different in character.

Regarding your dilemma, if a third row of seats is important to you, go ahead with your Scorpio N purchase, as the Thar Roxx will only be a five-seater. However, if the third row isn’t a must-have, we'd suggest you wait for the Thar Roxx since its launch is just around the corner. This way, you can test drive the Thar Roxx and then decide between the two.
