The democratisation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) can be seen in the Indian market today, with more than a few manufacturers offering the tech in their mass market offerings. There is a greater focus on safety coming from the Indian consumer, which has also helped proliferate the technology. For now, there are two levels of ADAS on offer in mass market segments – Level 1 comes with features like forward collision assist, lane keep assist, and high beam assist for the headlights, while Level 2 adds bits like such as adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic avoidance assist, and blind spot collision avoidance assist. Without further ado, here are the 10 most affordable models in India that come with ADAS tech.
Price: Rs 19.49 lakh-24.99 lakh
Mahindra’s flagship SUV gets ADAS tech in the top two variants – the AX7 and AX7 Luxury Pack. These two variants are available with both, the 200hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 185hp, 2.2-litre diesel unit, with the former getting AWD as an optional extra. They are also available in six- and seven-seat configuration.
Price: Rs 19 lakh-20.37 lakh
Kia’s midsize SUV has ADAS tech on offer with five variants – GTX, GTX +(S), GTX+, X-Line(S) and the tops-spec X-Line. These higher-spec variants only come with an automatic gearbox; the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol has a 7-speed dual-clutch unit while the 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel gets a 6-spped torque convertor automatic.
Price: Rs 16.94 lakh-18.28 lakh
When the MG Astor arrived in India, it was the only midsize SUV to offer an ADAS suite. MG Motor offers the tech only on the top-spec Savvy Pro trim, which comes with two engine options. The first is a 110hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to a CVT gearbox, and the second is a 140hp, 1.3-litre turbo-petrol paired with a 6-speed automatic.
Rs 16.23 lakh-17.42 lakh
The Hyundai Verna only gets ADAS tech on the top-spec SX(O) trim, though with select powertrain options. The Verna SX(O) with the 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine in manual form does not get the suite, but it does when the engine is paired with the CVT option. In SX(O) Turbo form, where the Verna is powered by a 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, ADAS tech is available with both gearbox options – 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch.
Rs 15.98 lakh-20.45 lakh
With the facelift that launched in January this year, Hyundai’s popular midsize SUV got an ADAS suite on the higher-spec SX Tech and top-spec SX(O) variants. While the SX Tech comes with 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine options, the SX(O) additionally gets the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine option. It should be noted that the Creta N Line also gets the ADAS tech, albeit only in its top-spec N8 form.

The Kia Sonet is one of only two cars on this list to get camera-based Level 1 ADAS features. These are available with the GTX+ and X-Line variants, which come with the 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and the 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engines, both of which are only available with their respective automatic gearboxes.

Honda offers its ADAS suite on all but the entry-level City – it is available with the V, VX and ZX trims – which accounts for this midsize sedan breaking into the top 3 on this list of most affordable cars with ADAS. The City e:HEV, which is only available in one top-spec trim, also gets this tech. The standard City is shares its 121hp, 1.5-litre engine and gearbox options with the Elevate, while the City e:HEV is powered by a 126hp, petrol-hybrid system.
Price: Rs 12.44 lakh-13.90 lakh
Like its sibling from Kia, the Hyundai Venue also sports a Level 1 ADAS suite. Hyundai offers the autonomous features on the top-spec SX(O) variant, and on the Venue N Line N8 variant. While the former comes with 120hp turbo-petrol and 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine options, the latter, sportier trim is only available with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol mill.
Rs 11.99 lakh-15.49 lakh
The XUV 3XO is the second Mahindra on this list. Launched on April 29, the XUV 3XO comes in nine variants, of which, just the higher-spec AX5 Luxury and the top-spec AX7 trims get Level 2 ADAS tech. Considering the Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 Luxury variant’s starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh, the compact SUV is currently the most affordable model on sale in India that features this technology. While the AX5 Luxury is only available with the 131hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine in manual and automatic form, the AX7 Luxury gets the 131hp turbo-petrol and 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine options.
