The Basalt is available in three trims – You, Plus and Max. The turbo-petrol comes in the top two variants.
Citroen recently announced the full price list of the Basalt coupe-SUV, which ranges between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 13.62 lakh, ex-showroom. It’s available in three trims – You, Plus and Max – and three powertrain options. As such, it represents good value for money, especially in its top-spec guise. Here, we take a look in detail at the features you get in each trim.
Citroen Basalt powertrain, variants
The Basalt coupe-SUV is available with two engine options: an 82hp, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 110hp, turbocharged version of the same engine. The former gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the latter comes with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The base petrol engine is available on the You and Plus trims, while the turbo-petrol engine is offered on the higher-spec Plus and Max trims. The Plus and Max trims also get the option of an automatic gearbox along with dual-tone colours.
