With the 2024 facelift, the Hyundai Creta – priced between Rs 11 lakh-20 lakh – seems to be an enticing proposition as prices have not risen commensurate to the increase in the features list on most variants. This is in addition to the cosmetic changes inside and out, and the new 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. Hyundai has also received a staggering 25,000 bookings since they opened on January 2. With a staggering 19 versions to choose from, we simplify what features are offered at which price point.
There are five powertrain options: a 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and a 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine with their respective manual and automatic transmissions, and the 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol that only gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. There are seven trim levels available – E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech and SX(O) – and the 1.5 petrol-manual is available on all of them. The 1.5 petrol-CVT is available only on the S(O), SX Tech and SX(O) trims, while the 1.5 turbo-DCT combination is only available on the top-spec SX(O) variant.
Meanwhile, the diesel-manual is available on every trim other than the SX, and the 6-speed torque converter is available only on the S(O) and SX(O) variants.

Despite fierce competition in the midsize SUV segment from the Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Citroen C3 Aircross, MG Astor, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Kia Seltos and Honda Elevate, and homegrown carmaker Tata throwing its hat in the ring with the upcoming Curvv, the Creta has managed to remain the sales champ. It seems like the Creta facelift will continue that tradition.
