The H-D X440 has finally been launched in India, with prices starting at Rs 2.29 lakh. The X440 is available in 3 variants, Denim, Vivid and S. Powering this H-D is a 440cc air/oil-cooled thumper making 27hp & 38Nm. USD fork, large 320mm front rotor and dual-channel ABS are all standard. The top-spec S variant gets a TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity. The right hand side switch cluster is fairly simple but gets a hazard light button. On the left are the switches to control the dash's functions. First images of the Harley-Davidson X440 are now out. The X440 has a neo-retro design with a roadster stance. Appears that the bike can take some off-roading as well. It appears that the X440 will be unlike most Harleys in the corner. Chassis components are premium with a USD fork and a new frame. An air/oil-cooled 440cc engine is on duty here. The tank resembles the older Sportster models. Dual-channel ABS will be standard as will be all-LED lighting. The Harley-Davidson X 440 will be launched in India on July 3 and we expect a price tag in the Rs 2.5 lakh region. The Harley-Davidson X 440 is the first machine to come from the American giant's partnership with Hero MotoCorp. With a flat handlebar and mid-set footpegs, its design is more roadster than cruiser. While there are a lot of other neat touches across the bike, the exhaust system comes across as rather simple and plain. Harley-Davidson logo on the LED DRL bar inside the headlight is a sign of attention to detail. Power comes from a 440cc single-cylinder engine; there is a theme of circularity across the headlights, mirrors and indicators. At its heart sits an all-new oil-cooled, single-cylinder 440cc engine.
