Volvo India has launched the updated 2014 S80 sedan in two versions.
Both versions of the S80 sedan come with diesel engines. There is no petrol engine on offer.
The base 2.0-litre 163bhp diesel D4 variant is priced at Rs 41.35 lakh, while the top-end 2.4-litre 212bhp diesel D5 variant costs Rs 44.80 lakh.
Volvo hasn’t significantly changed the car, just subtle tweaks to add to its appeal. The updated Volvo S80 sports a smaller grille, new headlights with daytime-running lamps and revised front and rear bumpers. It gets new alloys as well. There's also new equipment in the form of a new seven-inch touchscreen and in-car internet connectivity (by syncing via your mobile phone). The digital instrument cluster can be customised, like the one in the V40, to display information regarding fuel efficiency and performance.
Plus, like all Volvos, the S80 will continue to come loaded to the gills with safety kit.
