Tata feels premium dealerships for Hexa not necessary

One of Tata’s most anticipated launches, the all-new Hexa will launch in January. Set to become the most expensive Tata to be offered in the market, the carmaker has decided not to have a separate premium set-up similar to Maruti’s Nexa outlets. Instead, the focus is on offering a premium sales experience to prospective customers at its existing outlets.

One of the key enablers of the premium experience will be ‘Hexa Relationship Executives’. These are dedicated staff to handle both roles of the sales person and the service advisor and will be dedicated to the Hexa customers.

The use of its existing dealerships will allow Tata to offer the Hexa across India from the day of launch, unlike Nexa which is currently only offered in select cities. This should allow Tata to maximise sales of its premium crossover from the start without having to make heavy investments and efforts to create and market a new sub-brand for its premium models.

The carmaker is currently accepting bookings for the Hexa at a down payment between Rs 5,000 and Rs 15,000. Dealers are promising deliveries of the first batch of Hexas by end-January.
