A new Bajaj Platina 110 has been launched at Rs 65,926 and it features, for the first time in this segment, a single-channel ABS. This new Platina 110 is based on the Platina 110 H-Gear and costs just over Rs 1,600 more than that model.
Platina 110 gets single-channel ABS
First commuter to get the safety feature
The rest of the bike remains largely the same
So how has Bajaj managed to keep the price hike to a minimum, despite the addition of the safety feature?
New Bajaj Platina 110 vs Platina 110 H-Gear
To keep the price hike to a minimum, Bajaj has stripped the Platina 110 of a couple of features. Namely, the digi-analogue cluster from the Platina 110 H-Gear has been replaced with a fully analogue, twin-pod cluster. The rest of the bike remains largely the same.
The Bajaj Platina 110 continues to use the same engine and gearbox combo as before. Powering the bike is a 115.45cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces peak output figures of 8.6hp at 7,000rpm and 9.81Nm of torque at 5,000rpm.
New Bajaj Platina 110 price
Like we mentioned above, at Rs 65,926, the new Platina 110 with ABS costs a couple thousand rupees more than its predecessor. The bike has begun reaching Bajaj dealerships across the country and is available in three colour schemes - Charcoal Black, Volcanic Red, and Beach Blue.
