BMW Motorrad has increased the prices of its entry-level G 310 R street naked and G 310 GS adventure motorcycle by Rs 5,000, and they now stand at Rs 2.7 lakh and Rs 3.1 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. With this hike, BMW has also updated the bikes with new colour schemes.
Prices hiked for both bikes by Rs 5,000
Both now available in a choice of three colours
Remain mechanically identical to earlier versions
BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS: get new colours, remain mechanically unchanged
The BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS are available in a choice of three colourways, two of which are common to both – an all-black option and the traditional BMW red-white-blue Sport colourway. The G 310 GS gets a new Rally colourway with matte gold accents and the G 310 R gets a new Style colourway with a mix of white and red bodywork.
Both bikes continue to be powered by the same 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making 34hp and 27Nm of torque. The chassis and underpinnings continue to remain identical to the older versions as well. While both bikes get a dual-channel ABS as standard, the one on the G 310 GS is switchable for the rear, enabling better brake modulation off the road.
A notable difference between these two models and the recently-launched BMW G 310 RR is the rather basic instrumentation in the form of a digital LCD display and the absence of riding modes as found on the little BMW sportbike.
